BIG Things Coming for Ready Player Me! – Interview with Timmu Tõke

Ready Player

Timmu Tõke is the CEO and Co-Founder of Ready Player Me!, a cross-game Metaverse Avatar platform that allows you to create a consistent virtual avatar to use to travel across virtual worlds or multiverses. Their goal is to become the default avatar system for the Metaverse. To achieve this, they work to facilitate avatar interoperability by providing developers a scalable avatar creation system to allow them to focus on creating games faster. They offer SDKs for Unity and Unreal Web, and many other platforms, as well as support.

Timmu talks about how creating an avatar system take time, and how working with numerous companies has helped them pinpoint what is needed to help create a universal system for different worlds. He talks about competition and how scaling the building of avatar systems works as special NFT wearables, skins, and others get involved in the process.

Over 2000 companies now use Ready Player Me! avatars in their products. We discuss how much blockchain technology is used and how involved they plan to be involved with identity validation. We also get Timmu’s take on the biggest hurdles for avatar interoperability. Hint: he points to proving that building open worlds over closed worlds is key.

Listen in as we sit down with Timmu to ask what he’s excited about, ranging from NFT drops and partnerships with CryptoPunks and Deadmau5, a mainstream Metaverse, and more! We conclude with a question on where he thinks the Metaverse be one to five years from now.
