NW Trek
A digital exploration of the Pacific Northwest

NWTrek_Hero

An organization’s website didn’t accurately showcase their ambition, stewardship, and captivating product offering, so we partnered to elevate them above the pack

The Challenge

Since 1975, Northwest Trek Wildlife Park has led the charge in connecting visitors to education about and discovery of native Northwest wildlife. Conservation is also central to their mission, and they’ve been recognized as a standard-bearer 25 by the Association of Zoos & Aquariums. But their website didn’t reflect the quality of the in-person customer experience, nor did it provide the ability to discover attractions, which could significantly boost ticket sales and membership numbers.

Our Solution

Our objective was to highlight Northwest Trek Wildlife Park as an organization dedicated to conservation, education, and recreation. Using modern design patterns and vibrant imagery, we brought the fun and excitement of the park to the organization’s primary digital touchpoint. An experience grounded in UI/UX principles helped provide a way for people to engage with the park and learn about animals and conservation. The redesign also contained strategic user paths to member and ticket sales information, satisfying NW Trek’s core objective of increasing both.

Capturing the park's magic

The redesign took the richness of the existing Northwest Trek story and enhanced it. We utilized a deep color palette to evoke the feeling of Pacific Northwest forests, pairing it with imagery of the animals and the park grounds. The goal was to place visitors in the wilderness before they even arrived onsite, generating interest in tickets, membership, and Northwest Trek’s audacious mission to lead the conservation movement and build a community of citizen scientists.
