Dan Abbott
Sr. Technical Program Manager
Dan is an experienced technical program manager with an MS in Mechanical Engineering and electronics interest. Over his career, Dan has had the opportunity to work on medical products, consumer electronics, warehouse, robotics, and the power train of an autonomous package delivery drone. After his Master’s degree, he worked primarily as an electro-mechanical design engineer creating minimally invasive surgical devices and electro-surgical tools. His first experience at a consulting firm in the Midwest offered him the opportunity to move into project management and technical leadership. Relocating to the west coast, he helped integrate Kiva Systems (now Amazon Robotics) into Amazon and roll their product out to fulfillment centers across the United States and Europe. More recently, Dan lead the development of the electric power and propulsion subsystems for the Amazon Prime Air delivery drone.
Dan has three kids: two daughters and a son. He and his family spend the summers outdoors tent camping, playing in any body of water, and hiking. They are very slowly working their way through the national parks. In the winter, everyone looks for opportunities to play in the snow snow boarding, skiing and snow tubing.
