Richard Johnson

Richard served as a Mechanical Engineer Technician for 6 years at Genie AWP. He is a self-taught coder fluent in C, C++, Visual Basic, and SOLIDWORKS. Richard designed and implemented Genie’s current companywide standard of electrical harness continuity/function testing. He is proficient in Lean Manufacturing and has been TWI certified.

His past projects include developing an AGV, building and coding a 3D printer for rapid prototyping, and designing controls testing for AWP.

Richard enjoys engineering projects outside of work, has built a railgun and drone, and is currently working on mastering the lost-wax method on 3D printed parts.
