We are happy to announce that we are launching a new Eastside WordPress Developers Meetup at our Bellevue headquarters.

We’re starting the series with two events in June, and then plan to host monthly developer-specific WordPress Meetup on the last Monday of every month. Even if you can’t attend the June Meetups, join our group to hear about other upcoming WordPress events.

Why a WordPress Meetup?

This is a group for WordPress developers who want to share and learn advanced WordPress development techniques such as security, page builder, development best practices, custom theme building, plugin development, and more. We welcome anyone in the WordPress developer community for knowledge sharing.

We have two Meetups scheduled for June and hope to see you there:

Topic: WordPress Security

Speakers: Steve Hulet will be covering WordPress Nonces and demonstrate how to use bitbucket pipelines to help ensure your WordPress install is secure. Andrew Villeneuve will be covering the necessity of an application firewall and encryption (HTTPS)

Date: Monday, June 5th, 2017

Topic: Pagebuilder

Discuss and demo different methods of page builders within WordPress.

Date: Monday, June 26th, 2017

Call for Speakers!

We are actively seeking speakers for the dates above and future WordPress Meetups as well. If you are interested in presenting, reach out to me directly at [email protected] with a brief description of your topic and how you would present it.
