Michael (Mike) Piehler

Michael received his BS and MS degrees in Aeronautics and Astronautics from the University of Washington. He has 39 years of experience in the aerospace, medical, and robotics sectors. His prime focus throughout his career has been software engineering with an emphasis on object-oriented development, and best practices. Mike is competent in a variety of programming languages including: FORTRAN, C++, Java, C#, LabVIEW, and Python.

One of Mike’s proudest accomplishments was his role in developing several systems supporting President Regan’s Star Wars Anti-Ballistic Missile technology studies. When he is not focusing on outer space, Mike keeps himself grounded on Earth by studying ancient languages, playing with his grandchildren, and going for walks.
